ABOUT ME

Olga Losik is an independent filmmaker focused on exploring the possibilities of the medium, from analog to various digital formats. A central interest in her work is the study of memory and other questions that shape human existence. She approaches cinema not just as storytelling, but as a living organism that communicates through its materiality and form rather than through narrative alone.

Olga produces all of her works entirely herself, from conception to final cut and sound design, working independently of established industry frameworks. She treats each project as an opportunity to experiment with new forms and methods of filmmaking.

A graduate of the Moscow School of New Cinema (2024) as a director, Olga had her debut short film recognized by Message to Man IFF and Iskusstvo Kino magazine, which named it one of the best Russian films of 2024. She also studied analog filmmaking at the Baltic Analog Lab (2025). Long before turning to cinema, she held a Master's Degree in Architectural Engineering.
